Successful ITMA 2019 in Barcelona
The 18th International Textile Machinery Exhibition – ITMA 2019 – took place in Barcelona at the Fira De Barcelona Exhibition Center. This year more than 1,700 exhibitors presented their technical innovations and trends from the textile and garment sector to a wide public. Textilchemie Dr. Petry attended the trade fair with its own stand.
ITMA 2019 in Barcelona Sets New Records
ITMA, the leading international trade fair for textile and garment technology, has ended on June 26th, 2019. More than 120,000 visitors took the opportunity to visit more than 1,700 exhibitors. There they have been informed about innovative developments, modern products and new trends in the fields of textile and garment technology.
This year Textilchemie Dr. Petry has attended as exhibitor with its own stand at the ITMA in Barcelona. Many customers, suppliers and colleagues have come to meet us at our booth for technical discussions. Furthermore, we have had the chance to establish many new interesting contacts with visitors.
Innovating the World of Textiles
This year’s ITMA slogan was “Innovating the World of Textiles”. In view of the above, we presented many of our latest developments:
- new pigments for printing, coating and garment dyeing
- innovative textile auxiliaries for finishing
- modern process technology
Garment Finishers Focus on Sustainability
Environmentally friendly solutions were in demand in classical textile finishing as well as in garment finishing.
“The garment experts who have visited us at ITMA were mainly interested in our natural pigments like our PERICOLOR ECO pigments, sustainable solutions and eco-friendly alternatives to common process chemicals. There was also a very strong interest in our PERISTAL BLI ECO system which is a sustainable alternative to potassium permanganate.”

ITMA 2023 in Milan
Next ITMA will return to Milan. Visitors and exhibitors will have the chance to meet again for the 19th time at ITMA exhibition at Fiera Milano Rho Exhibition Center.
